Saphir – A south facing chalet in Grindelwald
Saphir is a beautiful south facing, one-of-a-kind 80m2 apartment for two persons. It is 5 minutes from the Männlichen gondola and Grund train station. And 8 minutes walk to the center of the village.
The original 3 1/2 room building plan has changed into one oversize bedroom. The room and living area integrates with the hallway, dining area and kitchen.
The south-facing 30m2 balcony has panoramic views of Mannlichen and Kleine Scheidegg. You can also see the imposing north wall of Eiger, to the vertical precipices of Wetterhorn.
The chalet is south facing and stands on a steep meadow which blooms in June with all kinds of alpine flowers. It sits at the end of a private street with heated driveway in winter leading to the underground parking. Furthermore, an elevator brings you and your luggage to the door. On the way, you will see a staircase, ski room and spacious laundry room for you to use.
The apartment is tastefully decorated and furnished with new England colonial style furniture. Featuring leather sofas and a love seat. As well as a thick handmade zebra carpet from Tibet and a high pillow-top king size mattress (200x200cm).
The chalet has a modern and well-appointed kitchen. Including a granite countertop, oven, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, TV/Radio/CD, DVD and Internet connection.
